I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and moved to High River with my husband in 2002 to raise our two sons. High River is known for its strong sense of community spirit, resilience, and connection.
With a professional background in the Human Services sector—Registered Nurse, Literacy Coordinator, Library Programmer, Yoga Instructor, and more—I have worked across various areas in town. These roles have enabled me to build relationships, understand the diverse needs of residents, and advocate for inclusive, people-first solutions.
I served as a Town Councillor from 2017 until 2021. During this term, I supported the transition back to regular municipal business after flood recovery, contributed to bylaw reviews, and assisted in onboarding a new Chief Administrative Officer. I represented High River on several boards, including Westwinds Communities, Community Futures, Sheppard Family Park, and the Arts & Culture Advisory Board.
My approach includes lifelong learning, which has led me to pursue education in municipal budgeting, advocacy, and seniors housing. Additionally, I have remained an active volunteer, supporting youth programs, literacy initiatives, the arts, and local sports.
In 2021, I chose not to seek re-election, instead focusing on continued support for High River through other means. Presently, I am ready to return with experience and commitment to serve as Mayor.
My goal is to build a future that respects our past, supports all residents, and advances High River.
